Runasapi Strategy Guide

PushDifficulty: Challenging

Map Overview

Runasapi is an Andean push map set in a mountain archaeological site in Peru, featuring ancient Incan temple ruins, stone walkways, and dramatic clifftop vistas.

The robot travels through the excavation site, past stone temple structures, and toward each team's delivery point.

The map's distinctive feature is its multi-level Incan architecture — stone walkways criss-cross at various elevations throughout the entire map, creating persistent vertical fights wherever the robot moves.

The clifftop elements also create environmental hazard threats throughout.

Attack Strategy

Reach the robot first and establish your team on the upper stone walkway rather than fighting at ground level.

Push the robot through the first excavation section quickly while your damage heroes control the elevated positions above.

In the temple section, use the upper walkway to fire down on defenders holding the stone archways.

For the delivery zone approach, the upper cliff path provides a decisive positional advantage.

Coordinate Kitsune Rush or Nano Boost at the critical temple gateway push.

Defense Strategy

Control the elevated stone walkways defensively as much as offensively — firing down on robot pushers from the elevated Incan paths is extremely powerful.

Use the temple stone archways as defensive cover while your supports stay on the upper walkways.

When the robot is pushed deep, commit everything to recapturing and use the elevated walkways to clear robot pushers.

Roadhog hooks near the cliff edges for environmental kills.

Key Positions & High Ground

Upper Stone Walkway: An elevated path running above the main excavation route that provides commanding angles over the entire robot push path.

Temple Stone Archways: Ancient archways in the temple section that provide cover while maintaining sightlines on the robot.

Cliff Path: A route running along the cliff edge of the excavation site that creates elevated positions and environmental hazard proximity.

Temple Gateway: A narrow passage through the temple ruins that forms a critical positional point in the map's flow.

Chokepoints to Control

The temple gateway is the map's primary chokepoint — whichever team controls the high ground above the gateway has a decisive advantage.

The stone archway section creates secondary chokepoints where defenders can hold cover while firing on the open robot area.

The delivery zone approach narrows into a tight corridor that becomes the final critical chokepoint.

Ultimate Usage Tips

Roadhog hook near the cliff edges instantly eliminates targets for environmental kills.

Earthshatter through the temple gateway clears the defensive setup there.

Gravitic Flux over the upper stone walkway clears defenders who are dominating from the elevated position.

Juno's Orbital Ray at the robot's position accelerates the push speed dramatically.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1

Fighting at ground level below the stone walkways and taking persistent damage from above — always contest the elevated paths before fighting at ground level.

2

Pushing the robot through the temple gateway without clearing the archway defenders first.

3

Not using Roadhog's hook near the cliffs, which represents consistent environmental kill opportunities throughout the match.
