Numbani Strategy Guide

Map Overview

Numbani is a Nigerian utopian hybrid map depicting a city where humans and omnics live in harmony, featuring the Adawe International Terminal airport complex.

The payload must be escorted from the airport arrivals terminal, through the city streets, and into the departure terminal finale.

Numbani was originally Doomfist's hometown in the lore and features his iconic gauntlet as the payload itself.

The map has wide open areas with multiple route options throughout, making it one of the more flanking-heavy maps in the game.

The finale's multiple elevated positions create complex fights.

Attack Strategy

For the first capture point, approach from the left through the glass corridor rather than the main terminal entrance.

Once captured, immediately push the payload into the city street section and establish the building tops.

In the street section, use the building flanks on both sides to pressure the payload defenders from multiple angles.

For the airport finale, take the upper terminal walkway immediately — this position dominates the delivery zone.

Coordinate a Nano Boost or Graviton Surge specifically for the final terminal.

Defense Strategy

For the first point defence, hold from the terminal interior archway rather than the point itself — your sightlines into the approach corridor are superior.

Once the first point falls, establish the elevated building positions in the street section.

For the airport finale, hold the upper terminal walkway — teams controlling this position win the final fight consistently.

Use Widowmaker or Ashe on the terminal's longest sightlines to deny forward movement.

Key Positions & High Ground

Glass Corridor: A left-side covered approach to the first capture point that flanks the main terminal defensive setup.

Street Building Tops: Multiple building rooftops accessible throughout the city street section that provide elevated positions over the payload.

Airport Upper Terminal Walkway: An elevated corridor in the final airport zone that dominates the delivery area.

Right-side Alley: A flanking path in the final section that bypasses the main terminal approach.

Chokepoints to Control

The airport terminal first point has a tight approach corridor that defenders hold from inside — flank through the glass corridor to bypass.

The city street section's central plaza creates an open chokepoint where teams in the open are vulnerable from multiple elevated positions.

The airport finale's main corridor is the final chokepoint where defenders hold the narrow terminal entrance.

Ultimate Usage Tips

Earthshatter through the airport terminal first point entrance clears the lobby defence.

Graviton Surge in the city street section's open plaza catches all defenders simultaneously.

Nano Boost on Sigma for a Gravitic Flux in the airport finale clears the terminal's elevated positions instantly.

Kitsune Rush at the first point accelerates the capture speed significantly.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1

Teams approach the first point through the main terminal entrance into the direct crossfire instead of the glass corridor flank.

2

The glass corridor approach is consistently less defended and safer.

3

Street section defenders abandon the building tops and fight at ground level, losing height advantage.

4

Attackers stall in the airport terminal's entrance corridor with no ultimates ready, running out of time on the final delivery.
