Eichenwalde is a hybrid map set in a small German village near Stuttgart. The village was the site of a pivotal battle during the Omnic Crisis, and the ruins of a castle loom over the area. Attackers must push a battering ram through the village into the castle hall.
Hybrid Mode
Attackers first capture a control point, which unlocks the payload, then escort it to the delivery zone.
Attack
Capture the first point with coordinated ults, then immediately transition to pushing the payload.
Defense
Hold the first point as long as possible, then fall back and defend the payload route in layers.

Full guideEichenwalde is a German castle hybrid map set in a ruined medieval town overtaken by the Bastion omnics. The payload must be escorted through the village streets before breaching the castle itself, culminating in the iconic throne room where the Crusader's armour rests. The castle breach in the mid-section is one of the most famous combat sequences in all of Overwatch — Reinhardt's shield pushing through the castle gate is instantly recognisable. The map's three zones — the town streets, the castle bridge, and the throne room — each require distinct tactical approaches.
