Map Overview

Blizzard World is a hybrid map set in a theme park celebrating Blizzard Entertainment's game universes.

The park is divided into themed zones: a StarCraft-inspired sci-fi section, a Warcraft fantasy realm, and a Diablo-themed dark zone.

The hybrid format requires capturing a first point before the payload is unlocked.

The map features significant verticality throughout the theme park, with elevated walkways and rooftops providing positional advantages in multiple sections.

The diverse zones create dramatically different combat environments within a single map, rewarding adaptive teams.

Attack Strategy

For the first point capture, push from the left side through the sci-fi corridor rather than the main gate — this angle bypasses the primary defensive line.

Once the point is captured, immediately push the payload through the fantasy realm, using the castle rampart as cover.

In the Diablo zone, use the underground passage on the right to bypass the main road defenders.

Coordinate a decisive ultimate push for the final delivery near the dark portal — save resources specifically for this moment.

Defense Strategy

For the first point defence, hold at the castle arch approach rather than the point itself — you have superior angles and retreat options.

Once the point falls, set up in the fantasy realm's elevated castle section, which commands the payload route.

In the Diablo zone, use the raised platform on the right to fire down on the payload.

Save at least one fight-winning ultimate for the final stretch near the dark portal delivery point.

Key Positions & High Ground

Fantasy Realm Rampart: An elevated castle walkway in the Warcraft zone that provides commanding sightlines over the payload route.

Sci-Fi Corridor: The left approach to the first capture point that bypasses defenders holding the main gate.

Diablo Underground Passage: A subterranean route on the right side of the dark zone that flanks the main road defensive position.

Dark Portal Elevated Platform: The raised area near the final delivery point that commands the end-zone approaches.

Chokepoints to Control

The main gate approach to the first point is the primary chokepoint — holding the castle arch prevents forward movement.

Use the sci-fi corridor flanking route rather than this chokepoint whenever possible.

The fantasy realm's narrow drawbridge section is a secondary chokepoint where payload progress slows.

Clear the castle rampart positions before pushing the drawbridge area.

Ultimate Usage Tips

Nano Boost through the castle rampart clears the first defensive line at the first point.

Graviton Surge at the fantasy realm drawbridge followed by Dragonstrike clears the mid-section chokepoint completely.

Earthshatter in the Diablo zone's underground passage catches flankers.

Self-Destruct at the final delivery zone dark portal catches defensive groupings.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1

Attackers charge the first point's main gate instead of taking the sci-fi corridor flank, repeatedly losing to the castle arch defence.

2

Always use the flanking corridor.

3

Defenders move out of the fantasy realm castle rampart to fight attackers on the ground, losing the height advantage that makes this position so strong.

4

Teams spend all their ultimates on the first point capture and have nothing left for the critical payload push through the difficult Diablo zone.
